Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

George and Martha, a middle-aged history professor and his wife, return home after a faculty soiree. Unbeknownst to George, Martha has invited a young new professor and his wife over for late-night cocktails. At first, Nick and Honey are unsettled by George and Martha’s incessant insult-slinging, but, as the liquor flows, the young couple finds themselves drawn into their hosts' tumultuous world. OCT audiences will delight as one of theatre’s most notorious couples square off in Albee's hilarious and harrowing masterpiece.

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? premiered on Broadway in 1962 and went on to win the Tony Award and the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best Play. Hailed at the time as “a brilliant original work of art” (Newsweek), the numerous award-winning revivals over the past half-century prove that the play still packs the same punch it delivered in its debut.
