Mischief lurks in the sleepy village of Edmonton when a slick, young devil arrives in search of a few fresh deals. JEN SILVERMAN (Playwright) is a novelist, poet, screenwriter and
playwright whose stage works include
The Roommate, Witch, The Moors
and Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties. Her plays have been produced
internationally in Australia, the UK, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Spain
and elsewhere. She is a three-time MacDowell Fellow, a member of New
Dramatists, and an Affiliated Artist with New Georges, Clubbed Thumb,
Space on Ryder Farm, and the Playwrights Center. Honors: The Helen
Merrill Award, the Yale Drama Series Award, the Lilly Award, Fellowships
from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Lower Manhattan
Cultural Council. She is a 2022 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow (prose) and 2022
Guggenheim Fellow (theatre).

DAVID ARNOLD (Scratch) is a Eugene based actor. He is delighted and honored to return the Oregon Contemporary Theatre stage, having been last seen here in Good People (Stevie). He studied acting at CWU and LCC, where he worked with director Tara Wibrew on The Pillowman (Tupolski) and appeared in Angels in America (Prior Walter). Other notable favorite roles include Miles in She Kills Monsters and Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. David would like to extend a special thanks to Tommy Vallario—may he rest in peace—for being one of his greatest supporters.
ANNIE CRAVEN (Winnifred) is in her fourth year studying theatre arts at the University of Oregon. Select acting credits include: Once, A Christmas Carol (University Theater); Hairspray, Freaky Friday The Musical and Once Upon a Mattress (Teen Musical Theater of Oregon). Annie recently directed a production of After the Revolution with the Pocket Playhouse, a student run theater company at UO where she also serves as board co-chair. Currently, Annie is writing her undergraduate thesis which she will defend in the spring at the UO Honors College. When she is not in the theatre, Annie can be found painting, outside, or cuddling with her cat Meelo.
DELOS LEO ERICKSON (Pianist/Composer) is a musician, composer and performing artist with immense musical taste. A recent graduate of UO's Jazz Studies program, Delos strives to bring the moment out in every note played. With a vast history of playing gigs around the world, to becoming a part of the local scene, all the way to being on the stage or behind the scenes, Delos has always loved performing and expressing himself through the arts. He is beyond excited to share an amazing production with an amazing audience and support system in his debut at Oregon Contemporary Theatre. CONNOR FRENCH (Cuddy Banks) is a Portland-based actor and writer excited to return to the Oregon Contemporary Theatre stage. Previously, he appeared at OCT in Damascus, Bunfight! and Hand To God. He also appeared locally in Emperor of the Moon and Left Hand of Darkness (University Theatre). Connor's works as a playwright have been recently produced in Portland.
ESACK FRANCIS GRUESKIN (Frank Thorney) is humbled and honored to make his Eugene, non-musical play debut at Oregon Contemporary Theatre. He lasted stepped on stage as John Wilkes Booth in Assassins (ACE) and made his Eugene musical debut as Orin "The Dentist" Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors (VLT). Esack hopes his first OCT performance won't be his last!
EDWARD SCHOAPS (Sir Arthur Banks) has acted and directed at Willamette Valley theatres since 1976. Among scores of roles, he has appeared in: Song of Extinction at Theatre 33; Murder on the Orient Express, Other Desert Cities and 9 to 5: The Musical at Pentacle Theatre; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Gallery Theater; Shakespeare in Love at Valley Shakespeare Company; and True West and Uncle Vanya at The Verona Studio. Ed’s directorial credits include A Streetcar Named Desire, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Novecento and Equivocation. He also co-hosts the twice monthly Theatre Talk program on KMUZ Community Radio in Salem. Ed loves theatre that touches the soul and speaks to what it truly means to be human. This is Ed’s first appearance on the Oregon Contemporary Theatre stage, and he’s grateful to work with such a talented creative team and cast..
MAYA THOMAS (Elizabeth Sawyer) was born in Eugene, Oregon, and is a graduate of the Juilliard School of Drama. She was last seen at Oregon Contemporary Theatre in Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea. Maya was a company member at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for three seasons. She is also a singer known for performances of her one-woman show Billie, about Billie Holiday. It’s a pleasure to be back in her hometown with this fabulous cast creating this important piece of art. Says Maya, "I couldn’t ask for a better director or to be surrounded by a better group of people on stage and off. Parts like this come along once in a lifetime, and I feel so lucky. Let’s all try to be kind to one another whenever we possibly can. Thank you, Tara, for just being one of the best humans I know. Having you at the helm has made this journey unforgettable, what a joy to work with you. This show is dedicated to my Mama, Barbara, I know you’re always watching over and cheering me on with your big, huge heart."
RILEY ALLEN (Production Stage Manager; Production Assistant) graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors in Theatre Design and Production, specializing in Lighting and Scenic Design as well as Stage Management. Design credits include Round the Mountain (CWU Ghostlight Lab Series), Northwest 10: Long Story Short (Oregon Contemporary Theatre) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (CWU Theatre Arts); stage management credits include Holiday Inn (The Shedd Institute). Riley is excited to be using every facet of his degree in such a diverse and exciting season at Oregon Contemporary Theatre. Born in the Puget Sound area, Riley is excited to be experiencing Eugene for the first time.
EMILY K BOLIVAR (Lighting Designer; Production Assistant) began her undergrad career at Lane Community College and graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS in Theatre Arts. Emily works primarily as a lighting designer; you can see her current work at Oregon Contemporary Theatre as well as with Ballet Fantastique. Emily has also designed many productions with both LCC and UO. Some recent favorite credits include: Alabaster, Tiny Beautiful Things (OCT); Tartuffe (UO); and Peter and the Starcatcher (LCC).Outside of her design work, Emily also works with IASTE 675, is a technical coordinator at both the Wildish Theatre and Lane Community College’s performing arts department, works as a touring electrician with Ballet Fantastique, and more recently has begun working independently as a stage lighting consultant. In Emily’s non-performing-arts-life, she enjoys gardening, listening to music and 80’s sci-fi films.
DEMARA CABRERA (Costume Designer) is the Costume Designer and Senior Instructor for the Theatre Arts Department at Oregon State University. She received her BA in Drama from Stanford University (2004) and her MFA from Boston University (2013). DeMara worked as an Assistant Professor at Central Connecticut State University. She also worked as an instructor, designer and costume shop manager at Linfield College. Favorite credits include: Women in Congress (Linfield College, ACTF Meritorious Achievement in Design award); The Dialogues of the Carmelites (Huntington Theatre and Boston University Opera Institute); Angels in America, Hair (Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, CT); A Servant of Two Masters (Central Connecticut State University); Romeo and Juliet, Comedy of Errors (Bard in the Quad); Sense and Sensibility and Shakespeare in Love (OSU). AMY DUNN (Scenic Designer; Production Manager/Master Carpenter) graduated from the UO with a BA in Theatre Arts and joined the staff of Oregon Contemporary Theatre shortly thereafter in August 2007 as the Master Carpenter. In 2019, Amy took on the additional role of Production Manager. Select design credits include: Stop Kiss, Mud (University Theatre); The Explorers Club (VLT); King Lear (SPA); and Hello, Dolly! (Lane Summer Musical Theatre). Amy’s OCT design favorites include: Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, Buried Child, Venus in Fur, A Bright New Boise, I and You, August: Osage County, boom, The Pillowman, Shipwrecked! and The Clean House. In her spare time, Amy can be found cross stitching, gaming, or gushing over her adorable cat, Oskar.
BILL HULINGS (Fight & Movement Coordinator) is an actor, singer, dancer and director living and working in Eugene since 2002. He has been a member of the Society of American Fight Directors since 1992. He has studied, taught and collaborated with stage violence experts around the world. Bill’s fight choreography has been seen locally with Eugene Opera, Eugene Ballet, The Shedd Theatricals, A3, LCC Theatre and Willamette Repertory Theatre. At Oregon Contemporary Theatre, Bill has worked on such productions as Damascus, August: Osage County, Buried Child, At Home at the Zoo, Venus in Fur, Hand to God, True West and more.
CAMERON JACKSON (Properties Master) is a poet and maker joining Oregon Contemporary Theatre in 2022. He has experience both on- and offstage in the theatrical and filmed spaces; performance credits include Scapin (Les Fourberies de Scapin, CSU Stanislaus), Grantaire (Les Misérables, San Benito Stage Co.) and Indiana Jones (Flashback, Disneyland). Cameron’s play Moving On was selected and performed at OCT as part of NW10: Long Story Short. When not backstage, Cameron can be found at home with his partner Laura and their excessive pets.
