Oregon Contemporary Theatre offers a variety of courses for adults of all experience and training levels. Our classes are taught by professional instructors and cover a number of topics, including Acting Technique, Scene Study, Playwriting, and more. Classes are generally 4-8 weeks and are taught in the Autumn, Winter, and Spring.

Feeling stuck in a rut, miscast, or worse - overlooked? Through monologues, cold readings, and physical exploration, this eight-week class will help you make the most of every moment on stage. Students are asked to prepare a monologue suitable for auditions prior to the start of class.
Plotting Along with Paul Calandrino Tuesdays, January 28 - March 17; 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Crafting a good plot is one of the most difficult tasks a playwright faces. In this 8-week course, we will practice the fundamentals of plot-craft, including where to start, how to create obstacles, and how to arrive at an inevitable yet surprising resolution. Open to writers of all levels.
