For some productions, OCT may have sensory-friendly performances scheduled for certain performances within the run of the show.
Sensory-friendly performances are designed to provide a relaxed, welcoming experience to all community members with sensory sensitivities and their families and friends--because everyone deserves to enjoy the magic of live theatre.
Sensory-friendly performance modifications include:
- Lower sound levels, for most loud or startling sounds;
- Reduction of overwhelming stage lighting;
- Low lighting in the theatre will remain on throughout the performance;
- Patrons are free to vocalize and leave the auditorium during the performance;
- Preparatory materials will be offered to patrons so they know what to expect from the performance and their experience at OCT.
Planned sensory-friendly performances:
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time: February 6 at 7:30pm
