Creating Dynamic Characters and Performance

Acting Workshop with Eric Braman
In person at OCT
Wednesdays, October 5 - November 23 (eight weeks)
7:00pm - 8:30pm
Sliding scale, $80-$200

In this workshop, participants will develop skills to create fully realized characters using their bodies, voices, minds, and emotions. Exploring the Nine Theatrical Viewpoints (Spatial Relationship, Kinesthetic Response, Shape, Gesture, Repetition, Architecture, Tempo, Duration and Topography) inspired by Mary Overlie's original work, this class will get you connected to your body in ways that are accessible, intuitive, repeatable and applicable. The goal of this class is to expand your capacity to create characters that meet the needs of every performance, from improvisational to scripted work.
This class will be offered all three terms at OCT. While new students will be able to join each term, returning students will have the opportunity to deepen their exploration to expand their capacity to create even further.

We will contact you for payment after receiving your completed registration form.
